DESCRIPTIONThis role is in the Cinder bidder team that builds and manages the bidding systems for Amazon's DSP (demand-side platform) product within Amazon Ads business. Our systems respond to ~200 billion requests daily from ad slots on both Amazon and non-Amazon properties and across all delivery channels viz. Display, Online Video, Streaming TV Video, Digital Signs etc., We are continuously growing across all channels while maintaining response latencies in the milliseconds and maintaining high availability requirements close to 99.999%.Our business and systems are constantly growing. Some of the new opportunities include Ads for Live Events, expanded Streaming TV Ad opportunities both within and outside Amazon's properties like Prime Video, Freevee etc.,. To meet the business growth and to build more efficient systems, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer in the Ad Tech industry that enjoys solving technical challenges at massive scale, simplifying and eliminating complexity as well as demonstrate a high sense of ownership and the ability to drive solutions from inception to delivery.We have a strong culture of innovation, solving problems in creative ways and our track record of accomplishment's speaks for itself. As a Software Development Engineer in the Bidder team, you will develop and own Tier1 services in the ADSP's bidding stack. Your job will be to work with multiple software engineers across teams, Product and Program Managers to design and develop new ways of responding to ad opportunities with a highly relevant and optimal ad in the shortest amount of time. You'll measure your success by the quality of your execution, the pace of innovation you help drive, and the increased efficiency you deliver. - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
