Job description:The paraplanner will primarily provide support to our Financial Advisors by handling the technical and administrative aspects of financial planning. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.This role provides client relationship support through managing, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare financial plans and other client deliverables, working with clients to resolve issues and other practice management tasks as needed.Responsibilities and Time Allocation – Will change over time to meet the needs of the firm and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.60% -- Financial Planning
  • Communicate with clients to obtain documents necessary for financial planning.
  • Use of eMoney financial planning software to accurately enter client data, run scenarios in advanced planning and prepare financial plans in a timely manner.
  • Track financial planning process and communicate with clients before and after meetings with a list of follow up items and recap.
  • Manage the internal financial planning workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks.
40% -- Client Care / Business Management
  • Be the primary point of contact for enrollment paperwork, payment, renewals and scheduling meetings for clients in the financial planing program.
  • Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and as allowable, as it relates to servicing their accounts.
  • Review and update client information as needed for client review meetings.
  • Attend and participate in client meetings as requested by the advisors.
  • Manage and resolve client service problems within the financial planning software.

Education and Employment Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Financial Planning preferred.
  • 1 year + of experience in the financial services industry (either in a support position or as an advisor)
  • Knowledge of eMoney or other financial planning software
  • Experience with a CRM system and workflows
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
