- Software Monitoring:
- Proactively monitor the patient portal application for functionality and performance issues.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical difficulties to ensure optimal user experience.
- Stay informed about software updates and participate in testing to ensure a smooth rollout process.
- Patient Support:
- Provide technical support to patients experiencing difficulties accessing or using the patient portal features.
- Answer patient inquiries regarding functionalities, features, and navigation of the patient portal.
- Troubleshoot basic patient portal issues and escalate complex problems to the IT department when necessary.
- Develop and maintain user guides and instructional materials for patients on utilizing the patient portal effectively.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the IT department to resolve technical issues and ensure effective integration of the patient portal with other medical facility software systems.
- Work closely with clinical staff to address patient questions and concerns related to the patient portal.
- Data Reporting:
- Generate reports on patient portal usage and identify areas for improvement.
- Track and analyze data to identify any trends or issues related to patient portal functionality.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in a Health Information Technology (HIT) field or related experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of basic computer hardware and software concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise instructions to patients.
- Excellent written communication skills for creating user guides and instructional materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with medical terminology a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
