- Operate incinerator system safely and efficiently in compliance with regulatory permits.
- Perform preventative maintenance on incinerator system including the incinerator, scrubber, ash system and utility systems. Actively troubleshoot and take appropriate corrective actions. Service and repair equipment used in waste management/recycling program.
- Monitor operation of the system through computer logic system gauges and control panels.
- Conduct and/or coordinate sampling of ash and emissions for regulatory compliance.
- Maintain daily records and logs of equipment operations in accordance with permit requirements of federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead daily activities of incinerator technicians to assure proper waste processing and record keeping.
- Report operational problems to the supervisor and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Monitor waste logs documented by incinerator technicians for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Clean and disinfect trash carts and maintain facility/grounds.
- Schedule non-CAMC contractors waste disposal activities.
- Interact with Maintenance to ensure most efficient use of boiler system.
- Maintain parts inventory for incinerator operation including scrubber reagent.
- Prepare accurate written reports as required.
- Manage all chemicals in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Drive 10-wheel truck with standard transmission and hydraulic lifts to transport solid waste; CDL is required.

- High School Diploma or GED (Required) Experience: 3 Years Maintenance experience based on the needs of the department
