- Ensure adherence to standards: Conduct inspections and evaluations to confirm that Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and related materials meet required codes, specifications, and quality standards.
- Data Collection: Record inspection results, measurements, and observations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all quality control activities, including inspections and testing. Document results, including non-compliance issues, with reports and photographs.
- Review: Review submittals, drawings, design documents, and operations/maintenance manuals for quality and conformance.
- Inspections: Conduct inspections of mechanical and/or electrical systems and materials to identify defects and ensure compliance.
- Training: Assist in training others in quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection techniques, and quality control methodologies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection data.
- Proficiency in Measurement Tools: Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement instruments.
- Quality Focus: Ability to identify defects and a commitment to high-quality construction standards. Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to collaborate and function well within a team.
- Computer Skills: Ability to operate electronic inspection software and other computer-related tasks.
- Experience: 5+ years in Electrical or Mechanical inspection, or 10+ years in manufacturing inspection.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent manufacturing experience is preferred.
