Toprovide active supervision of children at all times. The Assistant Teacher will assist inestablishing and maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment; support the social andemotional development of children; encourage the involvement of the families of the children in the Early Head Start program and support the development of relationships between childrenand their families.QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent.Supervised classroom experience with infants/toddlers or young children preferredKnowledge of Early Childhood Development principlesClassroom management/supervision skills.Willingness/ability to work as a team member.Willingness to continue professional education and trainingGood organizational skills.History of good job attendance.Must pass a criminal background check, be free from communicable disease and provide a Medical Statement prior to the first day of employment.For the full job description, click .TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board.
