Shift: 6:00AM - 3:45 PM Mon-Thursday; 8 hours on FridayAs an Engineering Technician you will
- Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
- Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Work from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions
- Support of Space Vehicle satellite manufacturing
- Following engineering drawings and defined manufacturing processes.
- Navigating and working to paperless work instructions (MES)
- Lead complex tasks when needed.
- Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/demate operations
- Mechanical assembly and test of space hardware including ESD sensitive hardware.
- System level hardware integration.
- Rigging/overhead crane and forklift operation,
- Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, environments testing, etc.).
- Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements
- Field support for launch vehicle integration Manual dexterity, motor skills and situational awareness to handle and manufacture space hardware.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/demate experience
- Mechanical assembly and test of hardware including ESD sensitive hardware
- Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, environments testing, etc.).
- Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements.
- This position needs Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
