- Demonstrate mastery in Oracle APEX development, including creating, designing, updating, documenting, and implementing logical and physical database changes.
- Lead the design and implementation of Oracle APEX solutions, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and standards.
- Modify or develop new online programs, unit test cases, batch programs, interfaces, configuration changes, and reports within the Oracle APEX environment.
- Conduct meetings with stakeholders to clarify and understand business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Establish the high-level sprint schedule, setting priorities and timelines to meet the needs of users and stakeholders.
- Plan, direct, and monitor the work of team members, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Utilize existing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) services where feasible and develop new SOA services, APIs, and microservices within Oracle APEX applications. Ensure the code is modular, reusable, and portable.
- Ensure proper exception handling and appropriate logging within Oracle APEX applications to facilitate troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Identify and resolve information assurance weaknesses and vulnerabilities, maintaining the security and integrity of Oracle APEX solutions.
- Perform peer code reviews and ensure automation build failures resulting from code issues are promptly resolved.
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives, devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems within Oracle APEX applications.
- Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written, ensuring clarity and accuracy in programming tasks.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document programs within Oracle APEX applications, adhering to established guidelines and standards.
- Participate in related areas such as design, implementation, integration, management, and maintenance of complex databases, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- May direct the work of other developers, providing guidance and oversight to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design, implementation, and management tasks, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Proven track record of successful Oracle APEX development projects and integration efforts, showcasing advanced proficiency in leveraging Oracle's Application Express platform.
- Strong command of SQL and PL/SQL languages for efficient database management, manipulation, and querying, ensuring robust data-driven solutions.
- A minimum of ten years of hands-on experience in applications software development, demonstrating a depth of technical knowledge and expertise in the field.
- Must have the ability to pass a DOI Background Investigation for Entry on Duty, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Mastery of Oracle APEX development, including creating interactive web applications, reports, charts and dashboards.
- In depth knowledge of APEX components and plugins
- Experience with APEX security features and user management.
- Ability to integrate APEX applications with other systems and technologies, including web services and external data sources.
- Expertise in optimizing APEX applications and SQL queries for performance
- Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for managing APEX application code
- Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP web services development for integration purposes
- Proficiency in Oracle Database management is essential. This includes understanding database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL and database design principles.
- Strong skills in SQL for querying and manipulating data in Oracle databases.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL for developing stored procedures, triggers and functions.
- Ability to design and implement database structures, including tables, indexes and constraints, to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
