The Brass Tacks
- Supervises personnel employed in JJ Hills Restaurant & Bar.
- Train, coach, and monitor restaurant staff to ensure exceptional customer service standards, consistent guest satisfaction, and adherence to company policies
- Must be available to work holidays, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
- Position may require occasional heavy lifting, pushing, bending, and reaching.
- Assist service team on the floor, take and serve orders if necessary and assist with beverage service. (International Sommeliers guild Wine Fundamentals 1 or 2 preferred)
- Assist in the coverage of shifts as needed
- Facilitates sales/customer service/operations interface daily
- Supervises division activities, overseeing daily operations of JJ Hills Restaurant & Bar
- Ensures profitability, efficient operations and adherence to established safety and quality standards daily
- Inventories supplies and beverages and maintains accurate inventory records monthly
- Responds to internal and external inquiries and complaints and maintains favorable team member and guest relations as needed
- Administers state liquor laws as they pertain to operations daily
- Deals with guests’ challenges and communicates all issues with Food and Beverage Manager.
- Assures that we exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged and following-through on all requests
- Represents organization as point of contact ensuring guests’ needs are met and expectations exceeded
- Ensures a safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment that need repair immediately and that the work area is clean and orderly
- 2+ years lead or supervisory experience and/or training in comparable food service operation
- The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required to read, analyze, and interpret regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Computer knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS system(s)
- Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations
- Necessary State Food Handler’s License and Liquor Serving Permit
