Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.Substation Interns will perform tasks with varying levels of complexity, which are assigned by a Project Engineer, Project Leader, or Project Manager. Tasks may include:
  • Assisting in the design and development of for power substations, which could include structural and foundation design.
  • Assist Substation Engineers in preparing design packages
  • Develop, prepare, and modify substation drawings, including A/C diagrams, D/C schematics, and logic and functional diagrams
  • Performing simple calculations
  • Participate in field reviews
  • Perform other duties as needed

  • Prefer 2 years completed towards engineering degree with a 3.0+ GPA
  • Courses in Power/Energy a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Experience with computer-aided design programs (AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.) is desired but not required for consideration.

  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
