The Director of Investments & Portfolio Manager specializes in client service and processing of variable products and other securities and ensuring the maintenance of an efficient and compliant office, allowing the financial advisor to focus on building client relationships. The associate representative is a liaison between the home office, financial advisor and clients.Key Responsibilities
  • Understand wholistic planning and all the solutions available to clients
  • Understand and recommend solutions to gain financial security across all product lines
  • Research, build, & manage investment portfolios and track their performance for clients and prospective clients
  • Place & implement trading and process rebalances in our client accounts based on client requests and our research and recommended market moves
  • Oversee & manage client taxes in investment accounts and harvest gains or losses as appropriate
  • Create, learn, and communicate investment commentary to clients as needed
  • Communicate with advisors and support teams for cohesive client experience
  • Be a master of our available investment software and cashiering functions to support our clients and business
  • Speak directly with clients to provide technical explanations of our investment process and what specifically impacts each client, when it does
  • Ensure compliance requirements are implemented and followed
  • Implementing initial and subsequent asset allocation trades
  • Discussing potential rollover opportunities from other retirement plans for variable and mutual funds
  • Processing proposal amendments, monitoring alerts and annual reviews in Envestnet
  • Executing buy or sell orders and rebalancing orders in Envestnet and maintaining asset allocation
  • Following up on trade rejects and resolving all trade-related issues
  • Monitoring holdings for program eligibility and administering advisory accounts
  • Running performance reports in Envestnet, Morningstar and NMCIR
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Financial service or insurance industry experience required
  • SIE, Series 7, & Series 63 required
  • Obtain Life and Health license within 90 days of employment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with others
  • Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and act
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
