Process EngineerLocation: Charleston, SC – candidates must be a US citizen or possess a current green card.A leading North American company in their specialized manufacturing sector is seeking a talented Process Engineer for their primary facility situated in Charleston, SC. We are searching for a collaborative professional with a strong history of achievements to spearhead safety, market leadership, quality, and service by nurturing our workforce, enhancing our procedures, and delivering exceptional value to the market.Key Responsibilities· Oversee and maintain Safety protocols across the facility.· Ensure compliance with corporate engineering standards.· Serve as a process specialist to drive continuous enhancement efforts.· Initiate, endorse, and lead projects aimed at boosting product efficacy, cutting costs, enhancing yields, or reducing cycle duration utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.· Assist in team development to achieve results, foster teamwork, exhibit self-reliance, and communicate effectively.· Ensure team members have the necessary resources and information for self-sufficiency.· Utilize statistical analysis tools to effectively address process issues and performance gaps.· Ensure efficient deployment of Control Plans to establish process stability and control.· Monitor process performance to meet safety, quality, and productivity objectives.· Provide leadership and assistance in TPM initiatives, including data collection through PMs, participation in maintenance planning, and enhancing maintenance processes continuously.Minimum Qualifications· Preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering.· Experience of 2 years in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.· Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities.· Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management abilities.· Capability to engage with internal teams, clients, and suppliers as a mentor and instructor.· Proficiency in leading cross-functional teams to enhance safety, quality, and productivity continuously.· Ability to develop or revise process documentation like Control Plans, FMEA’s, JSA’s, and Standard Work instructions.· Proficient in MS Office applications.· Experience with Minitab is advantageous but not mandatory.· Familiarity with TPM principles.· Prior maintenance experience is a bonus.· Dedication to fostering a safety-first culture, teammate involvement, active collaboration, continuous improvement, and adherence to company values.· Flexibility to travel as needed.
