
Flight Department Financial Specialist

- Data tracking and internal reports on the finances of all flight department cost centers
- Monitoring cost center financial statements and preparing summary reports and budget-related reports
- Preparing and maintaining monthly and weekly reports related to flight training, including flight cancellations, IP payroll, student progress, no shows, fuel billing
- Processing invoices for payment (fuel, subscriptions etc)
- Tracking aircraft fleet documentation and registrations
- Preparing monthly journal entries and budget amendments as necessary
- Supporting business manager and administrative specialist with special projects, summer programs, scholarships etc.
- Assisting maintenance department with tracking and execution of budgeted funds, including but not limited to, purchase order preparation, engine fund accounting and seasonal expenses
- Preparing, as directed, financial data to aid in the development of financial forecasts, plans, processes, reports, and recommendations for the flight department and campus business office.
- Performing extraction and manipulation of data from ETA, Workday, RMS and other resources into various reports and models.

- Bachelor's degree, area of concentration in Business, Aviation, Finance.
- Advanced Excel skills required, including data extraction, pivot tables, financial modeling, charting and graphing
- Hands on experience with processing transactions in accounting or budgeting software
- Workday and ETA familiarity preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills needed for interdepartmental coordination, and interaction with students
