Lunch/Recess/Afterschool Teacher Position

- The Lunch/Recess/Afterschool Teacher (12:00pm-5pm, Monday through Friday)
- supervise one elementary classroom during lunch
- supervise one elementary classroom on playground during recess
- transition students between lunch and recess spaces
- support classroom teachers with care of the classroom
- monitor hallway spaces during dismissal
- care for outdoor spaces and recess equipment
- transition students to after school enrichment classes
- facilitate games and safe play during after school outdoor play
- facilitate games and activities during after school indoor play
- maintain a rotation of engaging toys and activities for indoor play
- model, teach, and reinforce social skills and self-regulation skills
- Ability to work with children age 3-9
- Ability to manage group sizes up to 20
- Ability to plan and execute group activities, games and play
- Sense of humor and love of young of children
- Willingness to learn and use principles of Positive Discipline and Montessori philosophy
- Ability to collaborate with a partner and within a team
- Ability to clearly communicate by phone, email and walkie-talkie
- Flexibility to accommodate changes in schedule or location of activities
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3+ years experience with Pre-K through elementary age children preferred
- Knowledge or training in Montessori preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
