As our IT Manager, you’ll lead a skilled team of infrastructure and support pros, providing direction, pace, and accountability while connecting IT to JH Kelly’s broader goals. This isn’t a hands-on tech role—it’s about management, execution, and leadership.Pay Range

- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a tight-knit team of IT infrastructure and support professionals, fostering collaboration and innovation in a flat organizational structure.
- Conduct regular 1:1s to provide guidance, set clear performance goals, and ensure accountability through constructive feedback and professional development plans.
- Cultivate a customer-service mindset, ensuring your team delivers exceptional support to internal users while building trust and alignment across the company.
- Project Management & Execution
- Oversee department-level IT projects, such as hardware upgrades, system migrations, SaaS transitions, and network enhancements, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.
- Own project timelines, coordinate team efforts, allocate resources efficiently, and deliver measurable results on time and within budget.
- Translate complex business needs into actionable IT project plans, collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives that drive operational success.
- Operational & Service Excellence
- Oversee the IT ticketing system, escalations, and service levels to ensure prompt, high-quality support for internal users across our multi-site operations.
- Act as a proactive, visible liaison between IT and business units, bridging technical and non-technical teams to align on priorities and solutions.
- Drive team efficiency by implementing streamlined processes, ensuring responsiveness, and maintaining organized workflows in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor service metrics and user feedback to continuously improve IT support and user experience.
- Financial Oversight & Vendor Management
- Manage IT budgets, including software licensing, SaaS subscriptions, usage tracking, and contract renewals, with a keen eye on cost optimization.
- Oversee labor allocations and financial forecasting to ensure IT operations align with company goals.
- Supervise the IT Assets & Contracts Manager, guiding inventory tracking and fostering strong vendor relationships to secure favorable terms and reliable services.
- Negotiate contracts and evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Security & Governance
- Ensure robust IT security practices are implemented and enforced, safeguarding company data and systems across all locations.
- Collaborate with security specialists to support compliance, risk management, and audits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and enforce IT policies that align with best practices, promoting consistency and accountability across the organization.
- Maintain clear decision-making frameworks for technology investments and operational improvements, balancing innovation with practicality.
- Take ownership of JH Kelly’s overall IT policy framework, ensuring it evolves with business needs and emerging threats.
- Experience: 5+ years in IT leadership, project management, or team lead roles, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or operational industries.
- Skills: Strong project management (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid—PMP preferred), exceptional communication, and the ability to translate tech for non-tech stakeholders.
- Mindset: Strategic yet operational, with a knack for problem-solving, change management, and driving tech adoption.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with infrastructure, networking, endpoint support, and SaaS environments. Bonus points for leveraging AI or automation tools.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
This office-based role involves sitting at a computer for extended periods, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
