CNC MachinistWe are a growing, family‑owned metal‑working business specializing in rebuilding, retrofitting, servicing, and manufacturing machinery such as mills and grinders. As we expand, we’re seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team.Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate Mazak CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal machining centers and turning centers.
  • Perform conversational programming directly at the machine. Candidates should be comfortable with Mazatrol conversational programming systems or have equivalent experience.
  • Edit and fine‑tune G‑code as needed and adjust machine programs for optimal performance.
  • Load workpieces, tooling setup, run production runs, and monitor machining quality and tolerances.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance to ensure equipment stays in top working order.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and remanufacturing teams to meet job specs and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience operating Mazak machines. Familiarity with Mazatrol conversational programming (e.g. Smooth G, Smooth Ez, Integrex, etc.) is strongly preferred.
  • Conversational programming ability to input/edit programs directly at the control.
  • Solid understanding of G‑code and CNC fundamentals—able to troubleshoot and edit manually when needed.
  • Experience reading blueprints, using precision measurement tools, and maintaining high quality standards.
  • Self‑motivated, safety‑conscious, and able to communicate effectively within a small, close‑knit team.
