These talented, passionate, and meticulous financial professionals keep their eyes on our numbers to report, plan, and advise-to act as true partners to the business and keep our amazing growth on track.As a Senior Accountant on the General Ledger team, you will be responsible for the occupancy under the IFRS16 regulation, responding to internal and external inquires/requests, along with preparing journal entries for month-end financial close.Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, you will be directly involved in the Occupancy and other process for month-end financial close.
- Responsible for month-end general ledger close in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS
- Responsible for various general ledger accounting areas for Sephora. Includes posting journal entries, reviewing the income statement, working with BP&A & Real Estate team, preparing fluctuation analysis, and performing ad hoc research.
- Manage the month end close process in Occupancy / FSC (Corporate Office).
- Prepare cash reconciliation.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries.
- Partner with BP&A team to assist with budget and forecasting for Real Estate
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes related to accounting procedures and internal controls
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to drive decision making for the leadership team
- Assist with special projects and accounting research as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies.
- Accounting/Business/Finance with basic knowledge of GAAP.
- 4+ years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- IFRS16 experience is a plus
- Proficiency with SAP general ledger a plus
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and complex Excel spreadsheets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - able to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to pick up responsibilities quickly and work with limited direction.
- Exposure and proficiency with SAP general ledger desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, attentive to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
