For more information, please visit our website at or connect with us on orPosition: Production SupervisorWork Location: Grand Prairie, TXReporting to the Plant Manager, this role oversees the daily operations of the Production Department, ensuring all production and shipping activities are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The individual collaborates closely with the Quality Control Laboratory to verify that all customer products meet established specifications and quality standards.Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize and control the day-to-day activities of the Production Department to meet customer requirements including the scheduling of orders, manpower planning and the effective use of equipment.
  • Supervise a team of employees in manufacturing, executes company initiatives such as Safety, Sun Care, and ISO.
  • Ensure that all employees understand and follow standard operating procedures through training programs and control systems. Also, to communicate special instructions to operators when required and to enforce all plant rules and regulations.
  • Ensure that good housekeeping practices are maintained in all areas of the plant.
  • Be actively involved in the plant safety programs, reviewing and enforcing all safety and health regulations, providing safety training and investigating any safety problem or accident within department.
  • Ensure compliance with hazardous waste programs and hazard material identification systems.
  • Support the laboratory in all areas of quality control including process improvements, sampling and manufacturing techniques, raw material approval and work-off programs.
  • Work with inventory control in measuring and controlling raw material and ink losses through accurate measuring and control systems.
  • Report and discuss any manufacturing or delivery problems with the Plant Manager
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
  • Batch management experience preferred
  • Experience working with SAP preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, and Excel
  • Strong communication, leadership, project management and organizational skills
  • Good decision-making ability
  • Must be able to initiate problem solving as issues arise during the shift
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
