We succeed by always doing the right thing with focus, urgency, and passion.Job OverviewThis position is responsible for overseeing operations of the Garage Logic brand and producing any new potential development. This position will develop strategy and processes that drive continuous growth in audience size, podcast downloads and views, revenue, and to seek out new podcasting opportunities.Job Responsibilities
  • Executive produce and edit a daily podcast and produce weekly or bi-weekly podcasts for both audio and video platforms.
  • Monitor the news landscape to inform content themes, topics and potential podcast contributors.
  • Identify and book guests for daily podcasts.
  • Engage with internal teams including News, Marketing and Sales for podcast promotion and content development.
  • Effort enterprise/investigative stories for podcast series and specials.
  • Record and edit video for social media and other digital platforms.
  • Works with others on current and emerging podcasts, as needed, from both production and content-advising standpoints.
  • Assist with the editing/uploading of partner podcasts.
  • Website maintenance of podcasts.
  • Work with local sales leadership in development of Garage Logic podcast revenue growth, help template sponsorship opportunities.
  • Work with sales leadership and podcast teams to manage and execute client-based messages into podcast and social media channels.
  • Oversee and management of Garage Logic paid platform. Including, new member solicitation, database management, and member events/benefits.
  • Report on metrics, new opportunities, and success stories of Garage Logic. Drive the effort by creating excitement and a deeper knowledge of Garage Logic for employees and sales staff.
  • Work in a team environment with the Garage Logic podcast staff, brand directors, and host to identify, interpret, and capitalize on podcast trends.
  • Engage with internal teams including marketing and sales for podcast promotion and content development.
  • With assistance from promotions staff, manage all aspects of Garage Logic live events and onsite promotions.
  • Manage all aspects of Garage Logic social media for Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, X, and others as deemed necessary.
  • Help maximize effectiveness of social media platforms by enhancing visual presentations of podcasts in forms of video clips and graphics.
  • Website maintenance of Garage Logic and Garage Logic network podcasts.
  • Assist with setup and management of Garage Logic online store.
  • Accept and follow direction and constructive criticism from management.
  • Act in a professional manner in the workplace.
  • Report to work on time and work established schedule/hours and other hours if needed.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience working in audio (broadcast or podcast) creation, production or distribution or expertise in audio production and post-production
  • Proven passion and demonstrated ability to create successful podcasts
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the podcast space including history, trends, culture, production and more
  • Project management and planning capabilities
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, including highly developed interviewing skills
  • The ability to collaborate and work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology and latest social media trends. Research and analytical ability.
  • Ability to work independently as well as be an effective team player.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time, using a computer.
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to hear and speak clearly; follow both oral and written direction.
  • Dexterity to manipulate computer keys and other controls as well as general office equipment.
  • Requires the ability to think critically and creatively, analyze data and to articulate information in clear, concise manner to others.
  • Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and business proposals.
