The Resident Care Assistant (RCA) is responsible for providing assistance with daily living activities and personal care needs for residents in our facility. The RCA will work closely with nursing staff and other team members to ensure a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment for all residents. This role is essential in promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents.**Key Responsibilities:**- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
- Help residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Monitor residents’ health and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Assist with meal preparation, serving meals, and feeding residents as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
- Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Participate in activities and engage residents in social, recreational, and therapeutic programs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and facility policies.
- Attend training and meetings as required to enhance skills and knowledge.**Qualifications:**- Previous experience in a healthcare or assisted living environment is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Empathetic and caring attitude towards the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to lift and move residents safely and perform physical tasks required for the position.
