- Collaborating with global cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, product management, operations, and marketing
- Lead supplier negotiations through a data-driven approach and clean sheet/ should cost models, ensuring compliance to Otis procurement policies.
- Lead business reviews with strategic suppliers, as supplier champion to ensure suppliers’ meeting KPI’s.
- Category subject matter expert - responsible for market research, RFI’s, RFQ’s, analysis, business cases and ROI, and provide results and insights to leadership.
- Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and / or report out to stakeholders & leadership as applicable.
- Responsible to achieve cost savings goals, price negotiations, and price escalations.
- Facilitate cross functional team meetings as required.
- Support other tasks assigned by manager to support overall business needs.
- 10 years preferred in a Supply chain management function and/ or category management
- Strategic sourcing coupled with strong analytical and execution skills.
- Ability to exercise independent business judgment to drive strategy and achieve results
- Experience working in a highly globalized, matrixed environment, preference for an industrial / operational industry
- Demonstrated ability to drive teamwork between groups and across functional teams.
- Strong communication skills including the ability to influence without direct authority in a matrixed organization – leading regional teams to achieve results.
- Full knowledge of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and application in negotiations and cost evaluation, including import and freight considerations. Clean Sheet modeling knowledge.
- Ability to communicate within all levels of management using executive level summaries and presentations.
- Flexibility of daily schedule allowing for effectiveness in a global environment with multiple time zones.
- Strong skills with Excel and/or other data manipulation programs.
- High energy and dynamic, with strong interpersonal skills.
- 25% travel required
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Engineering
- Master’s Degree in supply chain, engineering, or business.
- Knowledge of elevator industry and/or field operations is highly desirable.
