Position Summary:The Senior Material Handler is a functional role that includes distribution order picking, stocking, packaging, and other material handling and inventory control tasks to ensure timely and accurate shipments are made to our customers using various indicators or signals. To assure team continuity across all warehouse operations, this position may also be required to learn, perform, and or be certified to assist within other areas of Warehouse Operations including material & inventory, traffic, or others as assigned.The role works collaboratively with key business partners to ensure timeliness of execution, appropriate safeguards to protect during transit, and or other. Interacting with Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning, Operations and Material Control to identify and meet business requirements. The role also works closely with these business partners to identify best practices and address challenges timely and appropriately.What You'll Do:⦁ Timely processing of physical and ERP goods receipts including documentation and physical condition verification⦁ Verification of items picked for accuracy and condition⦁ Timely returns processing⦁ Load and unload trucks as required⦁ Perform physical and ERP goods movements⦁ Generate work orders from ERP if applicable⦁ Complete confirmations, backflushing, and work order goods receipts as applicable⦁ Process stock transfers and material requests⦁ Stock warehouse with material once approved for use⦁ Replenish production areas and other areas as assigned⦁ Assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise⦁ Assist leadership in the development of improvement strategies and execution plans⦁ Cycle Counting as assigned⦁ Follow all provided control procedures and policies to complete tasks⦁ Maintain and engage in promotion of a safe work environment⦁ Other Job Duties as RequiredSkills, Abilities and Experience Needed:Required:⦁ High School Diploma or GED⦁ 3+ years related disciplines experience required⦁ Previous forklift experience (counterbalance, stock picker, reach truck) required⦁ General proficiencies in Microsoft Office and ERP/WMS requiredPreferred:⦁ 3+ years of warehouse experience in medical manufacturing⦁ Formal or informal training or leadership experience⦁ Process improvement, Continuous Improvement (CI), or any experience improving/enhancing existing processes⦁ Previous experience working in a 5S environmentOther:⦁ Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast paced, changing environment⦁ Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors⦁ Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance⦁ Safety Sensitive position⦁ Frequently: push/pull 11-100lbs, bed/twist, reach below knee/above shoulder, squat/kneel, climb/sit, speak/hear⦁ Continuously: lift/carry 10-55lbs, stand/walk, light grasping, keyboarding, writing, seeing/vision/depth perception
