- We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and supervise activities related to the planning and monitoring of commercial and industrial construction projects.
- This role involves managing all financial aspects of projects, ensuring successful transitions from estimating to field operations, and maintaining project schedules that align with customer requirements.
- Lead pre-construction meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field.
- Manage all financial aspects of the project through ongoing job forecasting.
- Extract from job estimate, cost, and labor hours to develop budget for ERP and timekeeping systems.
- Develop and maintain a project schedule that meets the customer's timeline and identifies electrical installation tasks.
- Develop purchase orders with price, bill of material, billing requirements, freight requirements, and dates required.
- Prepare and process submittals per contract documents or customer requirements for review and approval.
- Develop subcontractor agreements with price, scope of work, insurance requirements, schedule, and contract documents.
- Prepare contract documents including drawings, specifications, scope of work, and schedule.
- 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry, focusing on large commercial and industrial projects.
- Proficiency in electrical project management and estimation.
- Knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.
- Foreman experience.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar studies preferred.
- This role is primarily based onsite at the Brockport Office, with 90% of the work being office-based.
- The position involves site visits once a week to oversee project progress.
- The team is small, consisting of 5-6 office personnel and 20-25 field staff, and focuses on middle-range commercial projects such as hotels and grocery stores, with plans to expand into the Buffalo market.
