ELIGIBLE FOR CMH EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS: PRIORITY RECRUITMENTThe Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluation, treatment, and documentation of inpatients, outpatients, and home health patients, as well as being responsible for supervising Clinical Fellow Speech Language Pathologists (CF-SLP), Speech- Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA), and Student Speech-Language Pathologists. SLPs are also responsible for supervising Rehabilitation Aides.Job RequirementsExperience with all ages of patients and all diagnoses in the field of Speech-Language Pathology preferred. If performing home visits, must have own automobile in safe, working order and must be able to drive a car in a variety of weather conditions and road surfaces. Must have valid Oregon driver’s license and have documentation of current vehicle insurance per policy.License/Certification
  • MA/MS degree and completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year
  • Certification of American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Clinical Competence
  • Must have a valid state license or valid temporary permit as a Speech Therapist, issued by the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
  • Current BLS certification required through American Heart Association
Education and/or Experience
Will have successfully completed a degree program culminating in the confirming of a MA/MS degree and completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) upon which certification in the form of a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) is received.Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
  • Works inside. Walking and standing much of the time while on duty. Subject to occasional stress in fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines. Must be capable of providing treatments, some of which will require strength. Aware of proper body mechanics at all times.
  • Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
