The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction & Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction & Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. Haskell assists with working your way up through the ranks, you’ll find new ways to use both your mind and your hands to get the job done.Joining our Construction & Manufacturing Team will enable you to build the buildings on which people depend; collaborating with your team to overcome obstacles and fix problems on the job site using your skills. Strong networks are formed on construction projects because everyone on the team depends on each and every team member to get the job done.In the role, you will work closely with Shop Foreman by directing/supervising the work of shop employees as needed to assure production requirements.Job Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to read blueprints and make cut lists for machine operators
  • Must be able to organize shop personnel efficiently and monitor quality requirements
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Observe flat drawings or diagrams and understand how they would look as solid objects
  • Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures, and objects
  • Works closely with superintendents on delivery schedules
  • Oversee shop safety practices and report any non-conformances
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:
  • Great organizational skills
  • Great verbal communication skills
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Work within precise standards of accuracy
  • Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked
  • Apply basic mathematical skills
  • Follow oral and written directions

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
