- Hold a bachelors degree
- Hold a state Instructional Certificate in Special Education to teach visually impaired
- Provide specialized instruction for students who are visually impaired.
- Conduct functional vision assessments and learning media assessments.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students.
- Consult with parents, offering resources and support for their child's visual impairment.
- Utilize assistive technology to enhance learning and accessibility.
- Foster strong relationships with parents, teachers, and school administrators.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and activities.
- Perform all other duties related to special education as required
