Join us and discover why Modern Healthcare Magazine named us in its “Top 100 Places to Work.”Overview:Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a critical role in providing hands-on support to patients experiencing acute mental health and behavioral challenges. This includes individuals coping with severe psychiatric conditions, substance use disorders, emotional crises, and sometimes aggressive or unpredictable behavior. BHTs assist with daily care, therapeutic activities, de-escalation techniques, and safety monitoring, often during emotionally intense situations.Qualifications:
  • Preferred Education: High School Diploma and/or Nurse Assistant training course
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Behavioral Health, Psych, or Direct Support Professional
  • This role requires a high level of emotional resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm and grounded under pressure. The ideal candidate is someone who can set boundaries, handle confrontation constructively, and offer compassionate care while maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff. In addition to direct patient care, the BHT supports various operational tasks essential to the smooth functioning of the unit and is expected to uphold our mission, values, and service standards in every interaction
