The successful candidate will support different programs ranging from commercial customers to DoD customers. The technician will be responsible for building cables in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.   • Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies.
  • Working knowledge and use of tools used for cable manufacturing (strippers, crimpers, solder iron).
  • Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Candidates must have experience working with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to develop a strategy and identify any problems that could occur during assembly.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting to find faults in signal and connectivity issues.
Basic Qualifications
  • Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED with 2-4 years cable building and/or electrical/mechanical assembly experience.
  • Working knowledge of specialized tools and equipment used during cable assembly process.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current or prior certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 with Space addendum.
  • Current or prior certification in J-STD-001.
  • Ability to test cable assemblies for continuity, isolation, insulation resistance, and insertion loss.
