The Senior Estimator will provide crucial support to the Preconstruction team by spearheading competitive-bid projects and assisting with private bids. This person should be fluent with Commercial Construction Estimating and be interested in long-term growth in Birmingham, AL.
  • Guide multiple projects operationally across the preconstruction phases
  • Develop and maintain client and industry relationships
  • Partner with clients to formulate and develop contract terms, communicating the expectations to the project team
  • Perform competitive-bid practices to obtain new projects and help the company growth plan
  • Promote a collaborative philosophy with all subcontractors, vendors and project team members
  • Assist with the development of younger professionals in the Preconstruction team

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Construction Management, or extensive equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in an Estimating / Preconstruction role within a Commercial GC
  • Knowledge of local trades, codes, ordinances, etc.
  • Experience with competitive-bid practices is required
  • Proficient in Cost Reporting and other Estimating softwares required
  • Desire to interact with both clients and industry peers in order to develop and maintain relationships
  • Excellent communication sills
  • Team-player mentality with a desire to grow within the organization
