Borger, TXPSC is now hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Railcar Lead Inspector to join our team. This position will be separate from the railcar repair shop and will focus specifically on the inspection and upkeep of semi-trailers used to transport hazardous materials. The role is critical to ensuring that all trailers meet safety, compliance, and operational standards. Must be flexible to travel, work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed.Pay Range: $25.00 -$28.00 an hour based on experience.Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough mechanical inspections on semi-trailers designed for hazardous fluid transport.
- Identify, document, and report any mechanical issues, safety concerns, or compliance gaps.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and complete required documentation.
- Work safely around hazardous materials in compliance with company and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition.
- Communicate findings clearly in both written and verbal form.
- Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks
- Previous experience in a mechanical, maintenance, or inspection-related field preferred.
- Ability to perform mechanical inspections and identify potential issues.
- Follows all safety rules, keeps work area clean and complies with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies
- Ensures FRA, AAR and/or ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met
- Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task
- Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- May require a valid Driver’s License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
