- Ensures proper operation of large industrial equipment such as power generators, turbines, mining devices, assembly line machinery, and machinist tools.
- Uses hand tools, hoists, jacks, spud wrenches, micrometers, laser alignment and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust piping, valves, pumps, and other various equipment.
- Ensures machines perform to specifications by conducting tests; modifies and fine tunes machines.
- Dismantling of existing connected and independent equipment.
- Gathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints.
- Troubleshoots and repairs machines including when unexpected issues arise.
- Performs preventive maintenance makes repairs on older machines.
- Provides advice and recommendations to management concerning new machinery.
- Plans and facilitates installation of new or refurbished machinery, which may include building platforms and foundations.
- Conducts safety inspections of facilities.
- Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.
- Assist with jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program.
- Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
- Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
