The Senior Director of Distribution plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the execution of the company's distribution strategies within the distribution network. This role ensures operational excellence, drives efficiency, and maintains high service levels for customers while aligning with corporate objectives.Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the corporate Custom distribution strategy in alignment with company objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day logistics, fulfillment, and transportation operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting, staffing, and workflow optimization.
- Manage and develop relationships with third-party suppliers and customers, establishing Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Support the SVP in long-term strategic planning and expansion initiatives
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or fulfillment operations.
- Experience managing multi-site distribution operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of supply chain trends and best practices.
- Proven leadership experience in logistics and distribution management.
- Ability to drive operational improvements and process efficiencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Labor Management Systems and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Excellent communication and team development skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Fully onsite.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or squat.
- Frequent use of a keyboard and monitor.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including freezer environments as low as -20°F.
