Together – Let’s stay ahead of what’s possible.As a Supplier Management Specialist at ADEF, you will assist in development and implementation of supplier sourcing strategies through supplier assessments and rationalization. A successful Supplier Management Specialist will work with and influence cross-functional teams, analyze supplier performance, identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies, support industrial capability and capacity assessments. Additionally, this role will lead supplier business reviews and manage supplier relationships ensuring continuity of supply and quality of product.Job Duties:
  • Procure materials, equipment, supplies and services based on program-specific requirements and specifications.
  • Creation and management of purchase orders in accordance with specifications, requirements, work statements and terms and conditions.
  • Execute sourcing strategies based on existing and forecasted spend, demand and supply challenges and marketplace conditions.
  • Coordinating with manufacturing, engineering, and other functional organizations to ensure on time delivery, cost expectations and inventory targets.
  • Developing and managing supplier relationships, metrics, and performance.
  • Engage in supplier negotiations including RFP/RFQ processes, contract management, and long-term strategic negotiations to obtain maximum value proposition and meeting savings targets.
  • Recognizing and understanding supply risk to the organization, work with suppliers and internal stakeholder to resolve or suggest alternative solutions.
  • Chairing meetings with our supplier as required to support the business (Monthly/Daily/Weekly).
  • Additional responsibilities as management needs arise.
Requirements:
  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within a procurement or Supply Chain function
  • Experience with SAP as MRP system
  • Strong analytical/negotiation skills
  • Good critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task
  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships internally including cross functional and cross site collaboration
  • Commitment to learn and develop new skills.
  • Strong IT skills. High Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Compliance and FAR 15 experience is a plus
