
Mechanical Assembler

- Install, move, and modify related equipment according to the job order specifications, standards, and procedures
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and/or product schematics
- Complete training/internship with mentor – SME (Subject Matter Expert), Lead Mechanic or Supervisor • Route and install electrical cables
- Route and install refrigerant piping, and solder per requirements
- Route and install instrument air piping
- Mount and align electric motors and bearings
- Mount compressors on HVAC unit
- Install labels
- Install ground wires
- Mount major HVAC components on skids
- Completes assigned tasks within the allotted hours with minimum to no rework
- Active participant of DWD Safety Program
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Operates forklift to transport supplies and equipment
- And all other duties as assigned
- 2 years minimum of HVAC experience – either routing and installing electrical conduits and circuits, routing and installing refrigerant piping and soldering, routing and installing instrument air piping, or routing and install chilled piping - preferred
- 2 years minimum in custom manfucaturing, industrial equipment repair, or facility maintenance
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to operate forklift
- Must be able to operate hand tools (e.g. screwdrivers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, and drills)
- Must provide own tools – basic mechanic set
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English
