Part-time Support StaffHybrid Option: NoThe part-time Information Technology Specialist - Extension Campuses reports to the Information Technology Coordinator - Extension Campuses. This position installs and services all computer, network, media, and telecommunication hardware and software at the Aurora Downtown Campus, Aurora Fox Valley Campus, and Plano Campus.RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for timely service of Technical Assistance Center calls.Maintain PC networks, software, and hardware including down to the component and chip level.Work with the Information Technology Security Manager to maintain essential security of software and hardware at remote campuses.Install, support and distribute media equipment and services at remote campuses interfacing with the Computer and Media Services Manager.Maintain the inventory of all computer hardware and software.Assist in end-user telecommunication support including basic telephone, video conferencing and two-way interactive classroom support.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsAssociate degree or equivalent in Computer Science required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science Preferred.Minimum three years related experience maintaining computer hardware and software required. Knowledge of computer networks, various computer hardware and software necessary.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to interact with all levels of management, faculty, staff and students.Must be able to function in an independent manner on a regular basis.
