- Provide detection, identification, and reporting of possible cyber-attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities.
- Characterize and perform analysis of network traffic and system data to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to resources.
- Perform security event and incident correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the enterprise.
- Execute cyber incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identify the specific vulnerability and make recommendations for expeditious remediation.
- Track and document cyber incidents from initial detection through final resolution.
- Analyze and assess damage to the data/infrastructure as a result of cyber incidents.
- Perform cyber incident trend analysis and reporting.
- Operate in a 24x7 Shift Work environment (4/10 shift schedule; hours dependent on location).
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of additional cyber experience in lieu of degree.
- 2+ years of cyber experience.
- Must possess IAT Level II certification (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security).
- Proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) environments.
- Experience with COTS technologies used in CSOC environments.
- Working knowledge of current COTS Cybersecurity technologies.
- Understanding of database and operating system security.
- Strong grasp of current security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and coordinating resources to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage with various levels of senior management effectively.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities; able to seek information, evaluate priorities, and determine best solutions.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively, multitasking, and adapting to shifting project priorities.
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
