
Plant Controller

- Work with the site operations leadership team to explain and interpret key drivers of monthly performance
- Act as the primary liaison for plant site financial functions, needs, and policies.
- Leads the development of the site's annual manufacturing and distribution budgets, plus monthly forecast updates.
- Heavy focus on costing and inventory activities & provide informative analyses of the operations for division & local management.
- Consolidate, track, and report CAPEX forecasts for cash flow reporting
- Forecasting direct cost variances, cost reduction programs, wage rate variance and non-standard variances.
- Leads the month-end close process and ensures all requirements are met to properly reflect the financial status of the plant.
- Analyze significant operating variances monthly for Direct Labor, Variable Manufacturing Expense, Scrap & Material Usage.
- Ad hoc financial analysis projects and report preparation (frequent)
- Supervisor of site finance staff.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA or CMA preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in cost accounting
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with SAP/Hyperion is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-starter with the ability to handle many tasks simultaneously and properly prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment dealing with many different departments.
- Attention to detail, thoroughness, accuracy and overall quality of work as work involves summarizing and integrating information, checking details, verifying calculations, critical evaluation, and logical analysis of data
- Possess a thorough understanding of financial statements and relationships between the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
