  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs.
  • Prepare weekly bids and ensure timely completion of estimates.
  • Review construction documents, evaluate requests for estimates, and fully understand the scope of work to be bid.
  • Communicate effectively with general contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain and update bid tracking sheets and lead tracking sheets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and internet research.
  • Field experience in concrete is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills is essential.
Compensation (based on experience):
  • $60K – No experience, but strong ability and willingness to learn.
  • $80K – General estimating experience in construction (not necessarily concrete) with potential to learn quickly.
  • $100K – Concrete knowledge and some estimating experience, but requires training.
  • $120K – Fully proficient in concrete estimating; “plug and play” with only Avid’s internal systems to learn.
