Guided by our values of integrity, respect, accountability and excellence, we use leading science and technology to move fiber-based packaging forward.The Opportunity:The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will have complete involvement in routine or emergency maintenance as well as corrective, preventive, predictive maintenance and basic care for all mechanical equipment and its related components within a manufacturing industrial environment. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is expected to have basic electrical knowledge, i.e. the ability to swap out like for like replacement of motors.$31.40/hr - $41.73/hr DOEShift: Rotating 5a-5p and 5p-5aHow you will impact WestRock:
  • Provides maintenance information by using CMMS.
  • An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors, servos,
pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls andpower transmission systems.
  • Use strong PLC trouble shooting and problem solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical
aptitude.
  • Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Maintain production equipment to a reliable level of production through preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
What you need to succeed:
  • The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics
and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair.
  • 2-3 years of Electro-Mechanical Automation System Installation & Troubleshooting Experience
  • Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work various shifts / overtime / days per week
  • Military training and or Technical School preferred
