
Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

- Independently identify and repair equipment issues within assigned areas with minimal supervision
- Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Experience with troubleshooting blow mold, bottling, filling equipment and gantry palletizers
- Diagnose mechanical problems, provide quick & innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving
- Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer-oriented manner
- Make tooling, die, choke manifold, toggle and clamp, and profile sequence setting adjustments to maintain quality bottles. Replacing molds.
- Troubleshooting extruders and heating bands.
- Experience with troubleshooting hydraulic systems, power packs and hose replacements, servo and control valves.
- Perform general electrical repairs including wire connections, relays, photo-eyes, solenoids, working with 120v-480v, diagnose and wire up motors and troubleshoot variable speed drives. Must be able to properly use multimeter and read schematics
- Modify, repair, install and troubleshoot various conveyor systems including but not limited to roller, belt, intralox, gravity, chain plate types
- Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment and facilities in the processing & packaging departments
- Setup, takedown, and relocation of Process and Packaging equipment
- Frequently modify packaging & process equipment for new products
- Provide solutions to routine or unique equipment problems.
- Experience with general shop tools and fabrication including use of grinders, saws, presses, lathes and mills
- 3 or more years' mechanical/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- A minimum of a high school education or its equivalent is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment- ability to lift a minimum of 50+ lbs.
