This role will lead strategic planning for the Prefabrication Department, develop process improvements, and manage personnel to maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The Prefabrication Manager will work closely with project managers, estimators, field leadership, procurement, and design teams to align prefabrication efforts with project schedules and organizational goals. Requirements:Duties and Responsibilities Essential to the Job - including the following and any other duties that may be assigned as needed:
  • Lead, plan, and manage all prefabrication operations from concept to delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively with project teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Develop and implement prefabrication strategies that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance field productivity.
  • Ensure the department adheres to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations, fostering a zero-injury culture.
  • Oversee and support Prefabrication Shop Foreman(s) and staff, providing mentorship, leadership, and performance management.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Management and Field Leadership to identify prefabrication opportunities during project planning and turnover meetings.
  • Review and evaluate project drawings, specifications, and estimates to determine prefabrication scope, priorities, and execution plans.
  • Utilize software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, etc.) to create and modify 2D or 3D drawings and detailed digital prefabrication assembly plans.
  • Manage department scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
  • Partner with purchasing and project teams to order necessary tools and materials.
  • Maintain communication with Purchasing to forecast material needs, manage inventory levels, and resolve supply issues.
  • Evaluate production processes, identifying opportunities for innovation, automation, and standardization.
  • Develop and monitor departmental KPIs to measure productivity, quality, and cost performance.
  • Provide accurate cost tracking, reporting, and budget management for prefabrication projects.
  • Conduct periodic job site visits to assess prefabricated products, verify fit, and gather feedback from installers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve prefabrication and preconstruction challenges.
  • Participate in preconstruction and ongoing project meetings.
  • Follow standardized detailing procedures and company policies.
  • Drive training programs to upskill team members and promote career development within the department.

Educational/Work Experience/CertificationsBachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.Completion of a 2-year electrical vocational program preferred.7+ years of experience in electrical construction, including 3+ years in prefabrication management or supervisory roles.Demonstrated leadership and team management experience required.OSHA 30 certification preferred.Skills/AbilitiesStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Advanced knowledge of electrical construction processes, National Electrical Code (NEC), and prefabrication best practices.Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and project scheduling software; Revit experience a plus.Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proven ability to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.Financial acumen for budget development, cost control, and ROI analysis.Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and team development.Ability to initiate and manage projects independently.Experience in both prefabrication and office environments.Understanding of how departmental work supports overall organizational goals.Successful track record managing various sizes of commercial electrical projects.Working ConditionsMust be comfortable working in both office and active shop environments.Frequent visits to job sites and field operations.Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.Exposure to standard fabrication tools, equipment, and materials.Occasional extended hours or weekend work to meet critical deadlines.Special RequirementsValid Pennsylvania driver's license.Travel as needed to jobsites, supplier facilities, and training events.Background checks, screenings, and physicals.Compensation details: 0 Yearly SalaryPI1ebba2f8db9d-3781
