- Verifies candidate references and credentials before on-site visits as requested by the Manager, Provider Recruitment or the Provider Recruitment Specialist
- Assists with on-site provider candidate interviews, local tours and other needs as directed by Manager, Provider Recruitment or the Provider Recruitment Specialist
- Ensures that newly recruited providers have obtained appropriate malpractice coverage, Medical Staff membership and privileges and have completed provider enrollment paperwork
- Develops and maintains working knowledge of Sparrow in order to assist with candidate inquiries
- Assists with scheduling on boarding activities
- Meets with new providers, as needed, to complete new hire paperwork
- Assists with maintaining a variety of databases, records, and reports in order to accurately record information for analysis and tracking purposes (including but not limited to the ACT databases) Database will contain pertinent provider information that includes professional and personal information, source of lead, contact log, linkage to potential openings, and tracking for continued follow-up
- In coordination with the provider recruitment team, develops effective recruitment strategies/campaigns
- Explores new and existing web-based communication/social media outlets for sourcing providers
- Works in conjunction with the Marketing Department for ad templates and other template tools for sourcing strategies
- Assists with utilizing the online databases available for reaching potential candidates
- Works with Manager, Provider Recruitment or the Provider Recruitment Specialist with sourcing providers for searches using all methods to generate candidates including but not limited to journal advertising, Internet postings, websites, Social Media, direct mailings and telemarketing.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field, continually searching for new avenues to reach potential candidate pools.
Work Experience • Preferred- Prior experience in similar size organization
Education • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years of recruitment, sourcing, provider coordinator, or navigator experience OR Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin., or related field and a minimum of 1 year of recruitment, sourcing, provider coordinator, or navigator experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills • Working knowledge of software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, ATS and Excel • Computer, internet and social media skills required • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to multi-task, planning and prioritizing a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines • Ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality, possess good interpersonal skills Preferred: • Knowledge of healthcare and medical environment normally acquired through healthcare experience or completion of an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in the health care industry • Prior experience using ACT or other recruitment contact management softwareUniversity of Michigan Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
