Area Manager_East Region$65,000 - $70,000Full-TimeSUMMARYIt is the Area Manager's (AM) responsibility to provide site-level operational and customer service support under the direction of the C.O.O. and or Regional Vice President. The Area Manager is also responsible for delivering the highest levels of service to our clients. Utilizing quality management systems deployed at each site, AMs ensure all operational and safety training programs are followed on schedule. Area Managers maintain contact with all client points to ensure client satisfaction and lines of communication are maintained. AMs provide support to their assigned sites for the continual recruitment of top quality service personnel.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to the employees on an account or within an area/zone territory. Utilize sound performance improvements and motivational techniques. Conduct employee training and coaching when needed.
  • Ensure quality standards are met in accordance to goals and client requirements.
  • Analyze reports to determine variances and corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, company policies, contractor policies, and client policies as related to the performance of service level agreement(s).
  • Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEMinimum qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED. Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or operations management preferred.
  • At least 2 to 5 years of janitorial supervisory or leadership experience in a large complex facility/organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the English language.
  • Ability to work varied and flexible shifts when required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
PROFESSIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
  • Labor and supplies budgeting experience.
  • Experience managing 50 or more employees across a two shifts and weekend.
  • Team builder with strong coaching and teaching skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication
  • Extensive skill in troubleshooting, problem solving and listening.
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Valid driver's license, clear DMV record, able to pass a background check and drug screen.
