- Lead and establish the sales and marketing team for an independent property, including establishing market positioning and sustained revenue flow.
- Build and accelerate sales in the group, Corporate Negotiated and leisure travel segments, using a focus on culture and integrity, while establishing dominant brand positioning within defined competitive sets.
- Shape our future by formulating strong community ties, supported with integrated marketing efforts to drive revenue.
- Actively seek leadership roles to participate in industry and community organizations, and develop strong relationships with meeting planners, national corporate customers, etc.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate short and long-term tactics and programs focused on customer and market needs to ensure the success of the hotel’s revenue goals.
- Utilize financial and quantitative data to drive business strategy, establish and maintain realistic budgets, and realize projected results.
- Coach, mentor and lead a diverse team of professionals to optimum performance levels, and proactively recruit and hire top sales talent.
- Develop and lead a comprehensive marketing strategy to include, public, digital marketing, website optimization and creative social media campaigns.
- Create and communicate the revenue, marketing, e-commerce and public relations strategy internally and to owners.
- Develop effective delivery systems and methods for measuring and evaluating direct sales and marketing results to ensure team performance and goal execution.
- Effectively leverage home office resources and disciple experts to support the team’s efforts.
- Inspire and motivate a team of professionals that include career pathing, training and development, recognition, and creating a work environment where they can be their best and thrive.
- At least 5 years of hotel sales and marketing leadership experience.
- A Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or the same in experience).
- Well-versed in major urban market settings. Boston a plus!
