Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Group Facilitator to support clients in detoxification, residential, and therapeutic programs. This role plays a critical part in fostering a safe, therapeutic environment by monitoring client behavior, facilitating group sessions, and collaborating with the clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality care. The Group Facilitator is also responsible for documenting participation, providing educational support, and engaging clients and their families in the recovery journey.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and gather relevant social and treatment histories through client interviews.
  • Monitor and document client behavior and group engagement, noting any signs of abnormal physical or mental status.
  • Adjust group content or therapeutic approach based on client needs and clinical team input.
  • Review and complete all required client documentation, including treatment plans and psychosocial assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system within 24 hours.
  • Coordinate communication with client families and set expectations for ongoing updates and involvement.
  • Facilitate therapeutic, educational, and support groups, as well as structured on-site activities or outings.
  • Collaborate with clinical team members to coordinate comprehensive client care.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed and ensure proper escalation protocols are followed.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for clients, families, and staff.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Respond promptly to client concerns or complaints and document appropriately.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the clinical mission.
RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with therapeutic practices including dual diagnosis treatment and non-pharmacological symptom management.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality regulations.
  • Strong ethics, professionalism, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to generate reports, interpret data, and perform basic analysis.
  • Calm, organized, and approachable demeanor with strong leadership qualities.
  • Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and a client-centered work ethic.
Qualifications
  • Active, valid SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC credential (or working toward licensure) in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience with advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
  • Prior experience working with medical records and clinical documentation systems.
  • Must meet and maintain individual licensure requirements and scope of practice.
Benefits
  • Pay Range: $19.23 - $24.04 hourly ($40,000-$50,000 annually)
  • Schedule Options: 8:30am-5:00pm; Sunday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Saturday
  • Supervision available – one of our Clinical Supervisors is a CSAC and ICS, so she can sign off on hours for SAC-IT if needed
  • Weekly group and individual supervision with our clinical leadership team!
