Job Category: ClinicalJob Description:Directly responsible for the maintenance, functioning and operation of all x-ray equipment in the department. He / she will be working closely with a team of nurses and doctors during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures. The successful candidate will be required to work some flexible hours to cover occasionally some late or early cases as well as be a part of an on-call rotation during off hours, weekends and holidays for emergency (e.g. STEMI) cases.Qualifications:MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:● With positive moral standing as well as good organizational and communication skills and able to work as part of a team● At least a High School diploma or equivalent with an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology; A Bachelor's Degree in Related Field is preferred but not a must.● Must have a current Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.)● Must have a current NJ DEP Licensure to practice in New Jersey● Must have a current BLS CertificationREPORTING RELATIONSHIP:● Supervisor/Manager/Director of assigned department.WORKING CONDITIONS:● Works with equipment or performs procedures where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises or muscle pulls.● Works in an area in which there is exposure to radiation which requires caution and use of established safety guidelines and equipment such as lead apron and goggles.● Work requires exposure to blood and various body fluids which requires caution and use of established safety guidelines and equipment.● Work requires handling of hot liquids, toxic or flammable chemicals, or contaminated materials which requires caution and use of established safety guidelines and equipment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:● Lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds● Standing for more than two hours at a time● Stooping or bending● Manual dexterity, reach and grasp objects● Color vision - the ability to identify and distinguish colors● Ability to hear and communicate orally● Pushing or pulling supply carts● Using a keyboard to enter and transcribe words or data● Using a video display terminal to receive or audit information or dataAbout Us:St. Joseph's Health is recognized for the expertise and compassion of its highly skilled and responsive staff.
