We value our employees and offer competitive pay and exceptional benefits.DEC is seeking a full-time Business Data Specialist to maximize DEC's business analytics and enhance business workflows. Responsibilities include:
  • Manage and support enterprise business systems (Service/Financials/Mobile/Cloud) for functionality, efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
  • Coordinate, manage, and support medium-to-large scale IT and data-related projects, including AI integration and data product development.
  • Design and automate data collection, cleansing, and reporting processes using structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Work beside DEC's Business System Administrator to stay current with system upgrades, data privacy regulations, and emerging technologies relevant to business analysis. Become subject matter expert in Ivue Enterprise.
  • Work closely with DEC's Data Scientist to provide actionable insights from data analysis, predictive modeling, and process reviews to support operational and member experience improvements.
  • Liaise with internal departments to gather system/data requirements and ensure proper training and change management support.
  • Evaluate, configure, and deploy new or enhanced applications across departments in collaboration with IT and vendors.
  • Train end users and create documentation to support the adoption of business systems and analytical tools.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and Business Intelligence reports using tools like Power BI or Python.
  • Perform quality assurance, support data governance, and ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Manager of Business Intelligence.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BUSINESS DATA SPECIALISTEducation:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business Analytics, Computer Science or related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong Querying proficiency in SQL and Oracle
  • Experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
  • Familiarity with Power BI, SAP Crystal Reports
  • Comfortable with cloud-based business systems
