The ARBORS at CHICOPEE is a family owned and operated assisted living community conveniently located on Memorial Drive in Chicopee, MA.We are seeking kind, compassionate and reliable employees to join our team in the position of RESIDENT CARE AIDE.You MUST have a valid C.N.A. license or HHA certificate.Hours Available:7:00am to 3:30pm 24 Hours per week3:00pm to 11:30pm 24 Hours per week3:00pm to 9:00pm 24 and 18 Hours per week11:00pm to 7:00am 24-32 Hours.Benefits

Responsibilities:Report to the Resident Care Director and Wellness NurseProvide personal care services for residents in a professional, caring, and efficient manner and in accordance with state guidelinesDocument all care appropriatelyReview and prepare shift change logs at the beginning and end of each shift, as well as orally summarize pertinent information for aides coming on dutyInform a licensed nurse of any changes in the resident’s condition or needsAnswer emergency call system and respond appropriatelyReport all incidents to a licensed nurse and in-coming staffFollow proper procedures for the Self-Administered Medication Management systemAssess capabilities to determine needs for additional assistanceAssist with housekeeping duties, including resident laundry according to schedule or as needed.Perform dining room duties and assist with the serving of residentsAssist relatives, guests, and visitors, as neededAssist with activities programsMaintain a positive, professional calm, image, and environmentTake a team approach to performing dutiesComplete all required annual in-service trainingAdhere to all OSHA regulations and safety procedures when bending, lifting, and using equipmentRequirements:
  • Must be currently certified as a nursing assistant or have successfully completed the certified home health aide program.
  • Must understand the physical and emotional needs of elders, enjoy working with them, show understanding and patience and perform duties required to enhance the resident’s environment and quality of life.
