The business has 15 lumber producing locations throughout the U.S. South.The position is located at the Maplesville, AL mill. The Electrical Technician will report to the Electrical Supervisor.What you will do:Troubleshoot and maintain equipment using programmable logic controllersIdentify and troubleshoot objects using electrical control schematicsInstall variable frequency drives, diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systemsMaintain and troubleshoot various optimization systemsWhat you will need to be successful:Lock-out ProceduresField Level Hazard Risk Assessments (FLHRA)Electrical circuitry and components, including circuit breakers, motors and controllers, control devices, motor theory, rigging, precision alignmentsReading and interpreting electrical schematicsPredictive and preventative maintenanceComputer and PLC skillsAble to use hand and power tools and to understand proper use, including multi-meters, knowledge of 480 volt 3 Phase ACWhat will make you stand out:Able to work on call shifts and work night shiftsMust successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background checkBenefits:Our highly competitive compensation package and outstanding benefits include:
