
Tool and Die Maker

- Read and follow written work instructions as provided.
- Read and interpret complicated tool drawings.
- Fabricate and/or repair tools, fixtures and machine parts
- Manufacture quality products to meet customer requirements
- Do complicated set ups and operations on machine tools such as lathes, standard and CNC mills and EDM’s, grinders, hones, saws, CAD/CAM.
- Maintain a continuous material flow throughout the Tool & Die Process
- Design and fabricate simple or complex jigs and fixtures.
- Make decisions using math, charts, tables, formulas, and knowledge of machining techniques and methods.
- Other duties assigned or required for the department.
- Responsible for maintaining a “Safety First” mentality while working. Must keep work area neat and orderly at all times
- Ability to proficiently use precise measuring equipment and gauges and work to extremely close tolerances.
- Ability to work with little direct supervision
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and capable of moving up to 80 lbs. with or without accommodation.
